Service Area

Both Metro Basic and Metro Plus plans operate within the Melbourne metropolitan area, defined as within 100 kilometres of the Melbourne CBD. This includes the western suburbs of Melbourne such as Werribee, Hoppers Crossing, Tarneit, Point Cook, Altona, Footscray, Sunshine, Melton, and surrounding areas.

Service outside this area may be available at additional cost—contact us for a quote if you need assistance beyond our standard coverage zone.

Membership Requirements

• Membership is valid only while payment is current and up to date.
• Monthly memberships can be cancelled with 30 days' written notice.
• Annual memberships are non-refundable but coverage remains active for the full paid period.
• Members must provide accurate vehicle and contact information at time of sign-up.

Service Limits & Coverage

• Metro Basic: Towing up to 8km from breakdown location within metro western suburbs.
• Metro Plus: Towing up to 20km from breakdown location, with 10% battery discount and 10L fuel included.
• Towing beyond plan limits available at standard rates (charged separately).
• Services are for mechanical/electrical breakdowns only—accidents, vandalism, or deliberate damage not covered.

What's Not Covered

• Vehicles over 4.5 tonnes (commercial heavy vehicles).
• Breakdowns caused by lack of maintenance, deliberate damage, or neglect.
• Accidents requiring police or insurance involvement (call emergency services first).
• Service requests outside the designated 100km coverage area without prior arrangement.
• Any repairs, parts, or additional services beyond roadside assistance (arranged separately).

Liability & Warranty

247 Auto Batteries provides roadside assistance services with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for any damage to your vehicle that occurs as a result of pre-existing mechanical conditions, third-party actions, or circumstances beyond our control.

All services are subject to availability. While we strive for fast response times, delays may occur during peak periods or extreme weather. Members are encouraged to ensure their vehicles are roadworthy and maintained in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
